Positioning pillow

The slope that keeps the knee from becoming the pillow.

After ACL reconstruction and during recovery from knee replacement, protocols say the same thing: do not rest a pillow behind the knee. Support the calf and heel so the joint can stay straight.

This wedge is one continuous plane from thigh to heel. Two locked heights. A U-groove for the heel, with room for a cast or brace. Sold on Amazon as Single or Double.

Single-leg LYXOMED wedge in the high setting. A bandaged knee lies straight from thigh to heel; smaller frames show a hinged brace on the lower setting.

Catalog

One product: the leg elevation wedge. Two sizes.

This site lists that wedge — Single for one leg, Double when both need the same height. Same continuous slope, same two locked heights. Checkout is on Amazon. We do not take payment on this site.

What it is

A firm foam wedge, not a stack of bed pillows.

Continuous slope

Thigh to heel on one plane, so there is no ridge under the knee. That is the design reason it exists.

Two locked heights

Flip the attached board: 10.63 in or 7.87 in. Two side strips hold it. You are not restacking pillows at 2 a.m.

Washable cover

Polyester zip cover, machine wash. Soft top over a firm base. Three handles to carry it or pull the leg into place.

We cite the protocols. We do not claim this pillow was studied.

Elevation is a common rest position after lower-limb surgery. It is something you do while lying down, not a treatment we can prove for this SKU. We do not say it is clinically proven to reduce swelling. We do not treat 10.63 inches as an evidence-based “above the heart” dose.
